Rebecca Hains, a Peabody, Mass., woman whose cupcake inside a jar was confiscated last month at a Las Vegas airport, said the Transportation Security Administration, which has said in a blog post that the cupcake's thick layer of icing exceeded the 3-ounce gel limit that is allowed in carry-on luggage, is mischaracterizing her pastry, which she contends was three layers of cupcake, each topped with a medium layer of icing, not a thick layer.
